Project Description:

Cantrell & Crowley Architects have been commissioned by Dublin Corporate Apartments to design a hotel on the site at the corner of Benburb Street and Wood Lane in Dublin 7. The intent is to develop the site to its full potential creating a hotel with 96 bedrooms along with a restaurant, front of house and back of house areas.

The hotel brand will be fresh, professional, modern and energetic. The brand will be modelled on existing hotels such as Citizen M, The Hub by Premier Inn and the Z Hotel which are emerging brands in cities such as London, Glasgow, Amsterdam, New York & Hong Kong

Almost 70% of the building area is used for bedroom accommodation and its associated circulation.
The bedrooms are compact (typically a 3x6m standard room module size), and fitted out to a high quality finish, in a clean contemporary style. The building contains a restaurant, which will be operated as part of the hotel, and provide the food and beverage requirements of the operator. A self-serve buffet area provides food options all day including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hotel guests have access to a small gym, and a valet or self-service laundry, which are all located at basement level. Also located in the basement are 4 meeting rooms for use by corporate guests, and are also available for hire to the public. Retractable screens allow the 4 rooms to be opened into 2 larger rooms depending on the requirements of the users.
