Casper & Giumbini’s, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin

Casper & Giumbini’s is located on the promenade at The Pavilion in Dun Laoghaire. Our design brief for Casper & Giumbini’s was to create a Modern Irish Brasserie. As the restaurant is a large space, the challenge was to create an intimate atmosphere for the patrons. This is achieved by introducing a split floor level, with a mix of fixed booth and loose seating, along with the extensive use of carefully placed mirrors. It was important for the client to accommodate large groups so flexibility in the seating arrangements was also key.
Through the use of warm timbers, dark wall colours, accent brass and a feature gold wallpaper on the ceiling, the space is given a feeling of warmth and a sense of drama upon entering.
A large focus for the client was to include a wide drinks offering with a large bar. The bar is accented by using a darker aesthetic with a black and white mosaic tiled floor. High seating is also provided in this area to create a casual dining option for patrons using the bar.
