Under the Paris agreement, the EU has committed to carbon neutrality by the second half of the 21st century. A remarkable hotel in County Clare should be an inspiration to all small business to help achieve this goal.

With the introduction of NZEB in Ireland and the increasing focus on climate change, Cantrell and Crowley continue to look at ways of finding new and tested methods to lower the impact the building’s we create have on our environment.

We applaud the steps taken by Doolin Hotel’s “Green Team” and looking forward would hope to adopt, use and where possible expand on these steps in upcoming projects through all phases of our designs.

Green awards received by Doolin Hotels ‘Green Team’ include:

  • Chambers Ireland’s CSR Awards in the Excellence Environment Category for the project Green Team Work.
  • Green Organisation of the Year at the Green Awards two years in a row in 2018 and 2019,
  • The Green Tourism & Entertainment Award in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and
  • The Green Festivals Award 2017.
