Courtown Demesne, Kilcock, Co. Kildare
Courtown Demesne is a magnificent parkland estate of some 440 acres with Courtown House, a 19th century Victorian mansion set in extensive mature woodland. Our client required a scheme which would be appropriate to this protected structure while also attracting businesses and employment to the area.
Our design incorporates two separate use types: the leisure element comprises a hotel and country club with a golf course and over 130 holiday apartments and houses while the business and technology element comprises two phases of offices and logistical warehousing totaling approximately 680,000 sq ft with a small retail and crèche facility. Courtown House and its outbuildings are to be retained together with the gate lodges and original boundary elements.
